Family Supportive Housing provides temporary housing and supportive services to approximately 180 families every year. We serve single- and two-parent families with children from cities throughout the South Bay.
In the last fiscal year, we served families from the greater San José area, Campbell, Gilroy, Hollister, Marina, Milpitas, Mountain View, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Sunnyvale and other South Bay cities. Close to 60% of our Shelter residents are children under 18.

Neighbors in Need
The 2019 Santa Clara County Homeless Census and Survey counted more than 9,700 homeless individuals in Santa Clara County. There has been a 31% increase since 2017. One-third of those surveyed were experiencing homelessness for the first time. Many cited high rents (66%) and a lack of job or income (56%) as barriers to obtaining permanent housing.(1) In fact, the Association of Bay Area Governments has labeled 84% of Silicon Valley rental units not affordable for low- or moderate-income households.

Family Supportive Housing meets an urgent community need for temporary housing and supportive services to guide families from crisis to self-sufficiency.
